Six was very lucky to work with both Coca-Cola and iTunes on the launch of their joint online offering last Summer. We wanted to tell music lovers between 18 - 24 that Coca-Cola and iTunes had joined forces and create some top content for the website, so we organised and put on a gig featuring up and comers Milburn and headline act, The Automatic at legendary music venue, Oxford Streets, 100 Club.
Our radio partner XFM, provided us with great coverage and competition winners, other comp tickets could be won in listings, youth and music press and access to the talent secured us some high impact coverage in the mainstream teen press after the gig.
Eddie Temple Morris presided over the evening, we all got a bit tipsy on bourbon and Coca-Cola (we particularly loved our guitar pick bar tokens) and a good, low-key, contemporarily branded and pretty cool podcasted event was enjoyed by all. Our fav moment? When The Automatic did their cover of GoldDigger and a load of fans stormed the stage - it freaked out the security, as if you've been to the 100 Club, you'll know the stage is about a foot high!
What we most proud of, however, is being able to get the opportunity to work with two of the world's best known brands.
